Advanced Placement
Students who scored a 3, 4, or 5 on an AP Exam may receive college credit at SBCC. See the Advanced Placement Chart for a list of accepted exams and equivalent courses. Contact an academic counselor for more information on how your AP scores apply toward your academic goals.
Step 1: Obtain your AP Score Report
Option A (recommended): Download a PDF copy of your "Student Score Report" from College Board. See example below. Screenshots of your AP score landing page will NOT be accepted. You must download the Score Report.

Option B: Request College Board mail your Score Report to SBCC (fees may apply). Note that mailed reports can take six to eight weeks or longer to arrive and be processed. We strongly recommend Option A if possible.
Step 2: Submit a Request for Evaluation
Use the link below to submit your AP scores for evaluation toward SBCC prerequisites and/or program requirements.

What happens next:
Once we receive your AP Score Report AND an AP Score Evaluation Form your request will be processed within ten (10) business days, excluding weekends, holidays, and campus closures and is subject to change without notification.
If you submit a request for evaluation, you will be notified that your AP Score Report has been evaluated by email to your SBCC email account, so be sure to check it regularly.
Note: AP Score Reports received without a submitted form will eventually be processed toward prerequisite requirements, but will not be evaluated for program or degree requirements, and processing may be significantly delayed.
